Originally from the Philippines, Lou is a freelance motion graphic designer. Since 2020, he's been actively participating in group art exhibitions and organisations. He is both a traditional and digital artist.

Acrylic is his chosen medium. Lou’s art is mostly contemplative, characterised by heavy textures using brushes, palette knives, and other mark-making tools. His subjects are varied, from human figures to landscapes to floral and still life. His mission is to provide mood and atmosphere in his subjects and to transport the viewer to a similar personal experience.

Lou has more than 30 years of extensive experience in the advertising and media industry, from Manila, Vietnam, and New Zealand. His background in motion graphics and animation has provided him with the necessary skills for his digital paintings, which have strong environmental themes, combining storytelling with freehand Photoshop illustrations.

PIXelated 2025: "Destruction and Creation"
In this exhibition, Lou attempts to tackle one of man's godlike qualities—the ability to wipe out species of animals and the goal to resurrect them.
