Ulemj is a self-taught artist originally from Mongolia, who has called New Zealand home for nearly 20 years. Ulemj completed a post-graduate degree in education and linguistics; her art has always been at the core of her being, and over time, she came to realise that it is her true medium of expression.
Ulemj enjoys exploring the boundless potential of mixed media, embracing the intricacy and depth that layering brings to her work. More recently, she has been experimenting with digital art alongside traditional mediums to capture the depth and complexity of the human experience and the natural world. Drawing inspiration from her travels and personal encounters, Ulemj is particularly drawn to the raw emotions etched into the faces of individuals and the beauty of the landscapes that surround us.
She is happiest when creating and sharing her art with others.
